What is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy?
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is an evidence based form of psychotherapy. CBT examines the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours. The way we think influences how we feel and behave, therefore the aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is to modify one’s distorted thought processing. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy has been extensively researched for over 30 years and has a strong body of evidence that supports beneficial outcomes.
